Pick a recipe when you need an idea
Press Generate Random Recipe to draw a dish from the saved recipe collection. The result shows a name, an ingredient list, and a cooking method. A credited author and usable photo appear when available. Press the button again if the dish does not fit what you want to cook today.
This page has no cuisine, meal type, or dietary filter. The next pick can be quite different from the last one. A recipe may appear again because each request draws from the same collection. Treat the result as an idea to inspect before deciding what to make.
Check the ingredients first
On a phone, the ingredients appear before the method so you can see what you need before reading the steps. Tick ingredients as you check your kitchen or shop. The boxes are a temporary checklist in this page, and they clear when a new recipe appears or you refresh the page.
Press Copy ingredients to put the list on your clipboard, with one ingredient per line. You can paste it into a note or message and remove anything you already have. Copying does not include the cooking steps, so keep the recipe open if you plan to make it. Ingredient amounts come from the saved text and may need adjusting if you change the number of servings.
Read the method before you start
The numbered method shows the steps in the order stored with the recipe. Read them all before turning on the oven or preparing ingredients. A later step may call for chilling, resting, or equipment that is easy to miss when you only look at the first line.
This page does not display a total time or serving count. If a step is unclear, check the ingredient list and use another reliable recipe for that technique before cooking. If you have a food allergy or restriction, check each ingredient and its packaging yourself. The random picker does not screen recipes for allergens or special diets.
Use the idea without following it exactly
A random dish can help you break a routine even when you do not cook it as written. The title might suggest a flavor combination, a way to use vegetables you have, or a meal to save for the weekend. Compare the result with your time, budget, and available ingredients. If it needs too much work, generate another one.
For a group, let everyone review the ingredients before settling on a recipe. One person may spot a food they avoid or an ingredient that is hard to find locally. You can copy the list and discuss changes together. The tool picks the recipe, while you decide whether it makes sense for the people eating it.
