Explore a Random Street View Location

A Street View scene appears when the page loads. Press Show another location to pick a different place. The tool chooses from saved coordinates where Street View imagery was found. It does not search every road in the world each time you click.

Drag inside the panorama to turn your view, use the zoom buttons to look closer, and follow movement arrows where connected views are available. A short road may have only a few viewpoints; a city street may let you travel much farther.

What the Display Preferences Do

The switches below the panorama change what you see while exploring. Zoom buttons show or hide the plus and minus controls. Movement arrows show links to connected Street View positions. Street labels and Address information control the text Google can place inside the panorama.

Selected country shows the country saved with the last location picked by the button. It may be blank when you open a shared link directly. The label does not follow you if you move along a road into another area. These preferences change the display; they do not change the pool of locations.

Share the Place You Found

Press Copy location link to copy a link to the current Street View position. The address in your browser also updates when you move to a different position. Both links contain latitude and longitude, so someone opening them can start near that place.

The link does not save the exact direction you were facing or your zoom level. Google may also place the panorama at the nearest available image to the saved coordinates. If you want someone to notice a particular sign or building, tell them which way to turn after opening the link.

Play a Geography Game

Turn off Selected country before generating a location, then guess where you landed. Signs, language, road markings, driving side, plants, and building styles can all offer clues. Turn the country label on when you are ready to check your guess.

For a harder round, also hide address information and street labels. A road name can give away the answer. If you are playing with someone else, compare the clues each person noticed before revealing the country. One image is only a small view of a place, so treat clues as hints rather than proof.

Why Results Can Differ

The locations come from a saved list, and the tool picks a row at random. Countries with more saved coordinates can appear more often. A place can appear again because earlier results are not removed from the list. This is a way to explore unexpected views, not a balanced sample of every country.

Google provides the panorama. Image dates, sharpness, road coverage, and available controls can differ by location. A road may have changed since the image was taken, and some details may be blurred. If a scene does not load or gives you little to explore, press the button again.
