Every eligible character has the same chance of appearing. With both cases selected, uppercase and lowercase versions are separate possibilities.
Ways to Use a Random Letter
Pick a starting letter for a word game, practice the alphabet, or use the result as a writing prompt. This tool uses A to Z and a to z; it does not include accented letters.

Choose the Letter Set
Uppercase gives a capital letter from A to Z. Lowercase gives a small letter from a to z. Both includes both forms. If your game only needs the letter regardless of case, choose either uppercase or lowercase so the display stays consistent.
The tool shows one result at a time. Press the button again for another letter. A letter can appear more than once across several clicks, just as it can in repeated draws.
Play a Letter Game
Try naming an animal, place, or food that starts with the result. For younger children, ask them to point out the letter in a book or draw an object whose name starts with it. For a writing prompt, start every sentence of a short story with words beginning with that letter.
